And after ten interminable rows I finished the first repeat of the lace on Evelyn's shawl. And to my great surprise, it scallops!
The picture below shows two sections of lace. The scallops at least explain why it wasn't hanging straight as I knit.
Now I am wondering, should I stack up another one or two repeats? That would enhance the curves, while following up with a couple inches garter stitch will straighten it out, somewhat.
Maybe I'll switch to another project until I talk with Evelyn. She may be out of town, but I hear she is addicted to reading this blog.
I think I'll hear from her soon.
With thoughts, and occasional rants, on farm, family and crafting. Just to stay sane, I knit. A lot!
